TROPHY MOOSE HUNT

Our trophy moose hunts include a fly-in charter by float plane into a remote wilderness lake in northwestern Click for larger imageSaskatchewan. There are no roads, just endless lakes and rivers untouched by man.

Here the Canadian moose reaches his maximum trophy potential and his very presence creates heart-throbbing excitement that you won't forget.

We hunt the moose during the rut, in late September and early October, by cruising remote shorelines by boat. We challenge the bull's authority by imitating another mature bull. Our moose hunters drive to our north camp (See MAPS link ) where we depart by float plane to our northern outpost camp. Our only contact for the next week (or longer by arrangement) with the outside world is by mobile satellite phone.

In the early dawn hours, and at dusk, we cruise the shorelines searching for a love-sick bull. During the day, we fish the virgin waters for lake trout, huge northern pike, walleye and grayling. Weather, this time of year, typically is around freezing at night and often quite warm (up to about 50 degrees F) during the afternoon. But one must be prepared for the unexpected in this northern climate.

Once a bull is harvested, we have our air charter take it to our base camp where it is hung for aging. The antlers and the cape are then prepared for the trip home for you.

To increase your chance of bagging a mature trophy animal, we guide a very limited number of hunters.
